Mongolian Travel USA, Inc. has designed this itinerary to introduce those with limited time to as many of Mongolia's treasures as possible in one short trip. Untouched wildlife, amazing nature , historical treasures, nomadic civilization and unique lifestyles are the main attractions throughout this journey.
Day 1 Ulaanbaatar Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Explore the city, including the Museum of National History.
Transfer to the airport for helicopter tour. Flight to lake Hagyn Har. Leisure time for trekking , hiking and photography.
Flight to Hodoo Aral camp. Enjoy free time for hiking and photographing the charming landscape and prehistoric rock pictures. Explore historic sites connected with Chingis Khan and visit local nomads.
Flight to Middle Gobi camp. Visit a camel breeder's camp and go for a optional camel riding excursion. Tour a local Buddhist temple.
Flight to Karakorum. Tour Erdene Zuu Monastery, build on the ruins of Karakorum, the seat of the Mongolian Empire in the 13th century. In the evening, visit a local horse breeder's camp to enjoy horseback riding and to sample Airag, the national drink of fermented mare's milk.
Day 7 Amarbayasgalat Monastery
Flight to Amarbaysgalat Monastery. Tour Amarbayasgalant, a 400 year old Monastery featuring an exceptional collection of Buddhist arts and iconography.
Flight to Ulaanbaatar. After refreshment , tour of Gandan Monastery, the largest Buddhist center in Mongolia, followed by a visit to the Fine Art Museum. Visit the Bogd Gegen Palace, home of the last Mongolian Khan, featuring an illumination display of the lifestyle of Mongolian nobility at the turn of the century.
Transfer for departure.
