
Mongolia's Wrangler Riding
Put your faith in your trusty Mongol steed and become a Mongol warrior for a while. Let the endless steppe steal your heart and capture your imagination. Ride like the wind on to Karakorum, the legendary 13th century capital of the Mongolian Empire. Dismount for a delicious picnic lunch along the way. Spend a night in a Mongolian traditional ger by the ancient city. Enjoy traditional Mongolian cuisine, stone roasted barbeque, at dinner.
Day 1-2 Arrival/Ulaanbaatar Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Sightseeing in the city.
Day 2-5 Hustal Pike/Bayangobi/Karakorum
Drive to Karakorum. Overnight at Hustain Nuruu National Reserve to view Przewalki horses recently re-introduced back into the wild. Visit local horse-breeder's camp and familiarize yourself with your horse and gear in the Banagobi area. Tour the ruins of Karakorum, ancient capital of the Mongol Empare, and visit Erdene Zuu Monastery.
Ride to Moilt Am for camping in tents. Hiking or riding for viewing ancient stone statues and inscriptions. Ride to the Orkhon Waterfall along the Orkhon river, camping in tents and visiting local nomads along the way.
Day 11-12 Karakorum/ Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to Karakorum and continue on to Ulaanbaatar.
Tour of the National Museum and leisure time for souvenir shopping and independent exploration. Evening cultural show.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
